It's a charming experience at first. The art is nice and the gameplay is simple.

But you can tell it's best enjoyed multiplayer. On your own it gets tedious pretty fast. You have to really like repetitive crafting and grinding tasks.

There is a lot of repetition. To get money to afford material for crafting the items that enable you to do anything there are favour tasks and prison jobs.

But the favours amount to a lot of carrying items from point A to B, and the jobs are literally just repeating the same tasks over and over again.

On the plus side there is a ton of content as far as different maps, and it's easy to pick up and come back to later.

The amount of repetition required to get anywhere was a turnoff though. I could see that being less of an issue in multiplayer where you could combine your efforts and not have trying out escape attempts feel like such a slog.

To me the payoff isn't worth the time investment, so unless it's on sale or you definitely have people to try it with there are more rewarding games out there.
